St. Augustine Beach is the city’s most famous beach and perhaps the most known beach in St. Johns County. Filled with great spots to enjoy the sun and sand, St. Augustine Beach is usually quite populated during height vacation periods, but it is one of the most famous scenic beach spots in the Old City. Located just four miles from Downtown St Augustine, it is highly accessible, allowing for both fishing and vehicular access. A small fee is charged for this access.

The beach at Anastasia Island Florida State Park is a great place to enjoy the outdoors and not just the sun and sand! Located on St. Augustine Inlet, just about a mile from our Downtown St. Augustine Accommodations, Anastasia Island Florida is a wonderfully preserved area of beach and inlet waterway. Located off of Highway A1A, the Florida state highway that runs alongside the Atlantic Ocean, Anastasia Island is famous for its nicely preserved oceanfront scenery. Activities like windsurfing, kayaking, hiking, biking, and camping are all great activities to enjoy at Anastasia Island Florida. A lifeguard is on duty during the summer season at the beach, and driving is always prohibited at Anastasia Island Florida State Park. Also located on Anastasia Island Florida is another St. Augustine Beach visitors like to check out. Crescent Beach is also located along Highway A1A. Crescent Beach Florida, one of the smaller St Augustine Beaches, is located just three miles south of the more populated St. Augustine Beach. Check out this beach for a quiet outing, or a fun family picnic. Further past Crescent Beach Florida near St. Augustine Beach is also another small beach, Matanzas Beach, located on the Matanzas Inlet. Matanzas Beach is an off road beach playground with plenty of off beach parking and great sand. Additionally, Fort Matanzas National Monument is across the street and is a wonderful place to explore!
