Black Raven Pirate Excursion – Treasure Hunts (Family-Friendly) and Rum Runners (Adults-Only)

bannerBlack Raven Adventures hosts the only live and interactive pirate cruises in St. Augustine. The Black Raven was designed and built to be a floating performance stage, and the talented crew of buccaneer lads and lasses engage with the audience as they present their live, unscripted show on all things pirate. Black Raven Adventures offers several tours but two of the most popular we listed here for you!

Blackbeard’s Treasure Hunt (all ages): The show starts off when Blackbeard and Capt. Hook steal the treasure chest right in front of Black Raven’s crew. Sword fights and cannon fire result, and culminate in a sea battle between the two ships, the Black Raven and the Queen Anne’s Revenge. Along the way, there’s plenty of activities for both kids and adults, including treasure sharing, sword fighting lessons, face painting and more. The tour departs at 2:15 and 6:15 p.m. daily. Tickets are $34.95 for adults, $24.95 for children ages 3-12, and toddlers 2 and under are free.

Rum Runners (adults 21+ only): This adult-oriented and audience-driven show is not for the easily offended, but is full of outrageous fun aboard ship. Guests can enjoy a mix of songs, jokes, skits and stories, all delivered pirate-style and unscripted, as the lively crew interacts with the audience. A full cash bar is available. The tour departs at 8:15 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. Tickets are $29.95 per person (adults ages 21+ only).

The St. Augustine Pirate and Treasure Museum

The St. Augustine Pirate & Treasure Museum offers an exciting and educational museum experience that transports you and your family back in time over 300 years to Port Royal, Jamaica, at the height of the Golden Age of Piracy!

The museum is located right across from the Castillo de San Marcos and is open daily from 10:00 am – 7:00 pm! The St. Augustine Pirate & Treasure Museum is excited to announce a new permanent exhibition featuring artifacts of the Red Sea Pirates.  The colorful appellation  is used  to identify  buccaneers whom traveled the West Indies around Africa into the Red Sea, a trek known as the ’Pirate Round.’  Most active from the early 1690’s to 1700 (and again at the dawn of the 1720’s), pirates risked the journey around the Cape of Good Hope to the Indian Ocean, attacking ships loaded with exotic products of India.  Pirates and traders whom regularly used this route included pirate captains Henry Every and William Kidd (whose treasure chest was just highlighted on the History Channel).
