In addition to all the annual events during this special time of year, the famous Romanza Festival of the Arts has added a new addition to the schedule this year that has many talking about taking a trip outside Universal to St. Augustine! Romanza is a celebration of art and music in America’s Most Romantic City featuring more than 100 events and exhibits by dozens of organizations.

Walk through to AUGSmeade Village and stop in for some Butterbeer. Cheer for your favorite team during an exciting Quidditch Match. All this and more fun begins at 10 a.m.-8 p.m. May 13th in Francis Field adjacent to the city’s Visitor Information Center and parking garage.

More headliners for Romanza  include the Annual Gamble Rogers Music Festival taking place May 5-7 at St. Augustine’s Colonial Quarter, 33 Saint George St., downtown St. Augustine. Four stages will feature local musicians, regional acts and national music groups. The festival honors the late James Gamble Rogers IV, a singer, songwriter, and storyteller who balanced a love of balladry and folk songs with a passion for the oral tradition and storytelling. Rogers was just hitting his peak when he died on October 10, 1991, trying to save a man from drowning. The recreational area in Flagler County, where the accident occurred, was later renamed the Gamble Rogers Memorial State Recreation Area. See the schedule and purchase tickets for this at
