Its no secret that St. Augustine has it all when it comes to things to do! Many visit for different reasons; the attractions, concerts and events, the beautiful sandy beaches or just a simple relaxed getaway from the norm. Whatever your reason is, we at the Agustin strive to make your stay most memorable.
If its beauty you are after, we have the most amazing historic bayfront and beach shoreline. It is often at both of these locations you will catch a glimpse of our dolphins at play. With this thought in mind, we must suggest a couple things here to add to your itinerary upon next visit.
A St Augustine Scenic Cruise
The St Augustine Scenic Sightseeing Cruise on the Victory III has been telling the city’s maritime history and taking guests on dolphin sighting excursions for 100 years! No joke! The Victory III has been giving visitors to ST. Augustine a unique view of the city and a way to enjoy the historic land marks and natural beauty on board since the early 1900’s! The boat became an official sightseeing vessel in the 1940’s!
The Agustin highly recommends taking this hour and fifteen minute relaxing cruise as it rates high on the St Augustine attraction agenda!
Narrated tours by the Captain on board provide an incomparable way to view St. Augustine’s historical landmarks and natural sites of interest. These tours are fully narrated and tell the story of St. Augustine’s maritime history well.
A Sunrise Dolphin Walk
Another event that has been listed on the St. Augustine event list is an all new Sunrise Dolphin Walk on Vilano Beach – (10 minute drive from the Agustin). This is an event geared towards those who love sunrises and ocean beauty! Must be an early riser for this one!
St. Johns County Parks and Recreation is partnering with Marineland Dolphin Adventure to offer a brand new FREE beach walk!
On Wednesday, April 19, and Thursday, April 20, at 7 a.m. they will host our very first Sunrise Dolphin Beach Walks. This walk will be held at Vilano Beach. Get up early and join in the fun to watch the sun rise over the Atlantic and then explore the beach and lookout for dolphins.
During the walk, you will get to learn all about dolphin anatomy, behavior, and other whale species that frequent the area.
