Cannon Firing Demonstrations at Castillo De San Marcos

Rangers and Garrison volunteers will demonstrate the weapons and relate the experiences of the colonial Spanish soldier of 1740s St. Augustine. Historic weapons demonstrations will be presented every Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 10:30, 11:30, 1:30, 2:30, & 3:30. Firing times are subject to change depending on weather conditions and staff availability.

St Augustine's Annual Nights of Lights Celebration

Come see beautiful downtown St. Augustine all dressed up in her holiday finest as millions of tiny white lights illuminate trees, the City Square, buildings and businesses. The actual Light Up Night is Sat., 11-17, at 6:30PM in the Plaza de la Constitucion, downtown St. Augustine.

St. Augustine's Version of Winter in Florida

Winter Wonderland returns to the St. Augustine Amphitheatre for the sixth year in a row, opening on Fri., 11-24-12, thru Sun., 1-6-13. Enjoy ice skating, an ice chute with the dare-devil's start as well as a safer entry point, mini-cars on a challenging race tract, as well as all the other winter experiences (s'mores and more, nightly snow-falls, etc.)

Monday & Friday Lost Ships Tour at the St. Augustine Lighthouse

Mondays and Fridays

This exclusive, behind-the-scenes tour includes a multi-media presentation with one of the Lighthouse's marine archaeologists. Tour participants visit areas of the Historic Light Station that are off-limits for general admission visitors. Participants will also see recovered artifacts that are undergoing tedious cleaning and stabilization procedures undertaken by conservators. Free time will be available to see museum exhibits in the historic Keeper's House and to also climb the 165' lighthouse. The lighthouse is located at 81 Lighthouse Avenue in St. Augustine. Advance reservations are required. Tickets are $24 and may be purchased at www.StAugustineLighthouse.org or call 904-829-0745.

First Wednesdays Lightner Museum Tours

Lightner Museum curator provides an exclusive encounter with some of the museum's eclectic relics. The themed interactive tours are changed monthly and are designed to give participants an opportunity to talk with the curator and to see acquisitions in operation rather than just as static displays. Tours begin at 10 a.m. on the second floor of the museum located at 75 King Street in St. Augustine just walking distance from the Agustin Inn Bed and Breakfast. The tour is included in the regular admission price of $10 adults; active duty military $6; $5 college students and young people ages 12-18; free for under 12. Donations welcomed. 125th Anniversary of Hotel Ponce de Leon (Flagler College) Grand Opening

Sponsored by Flagler College St Augustine, free tours, an art exhibit, period music and re-enactors will commemorate the 125th anniversary of the actual opening of Henry Flagler's Hotel Ponce de Leon, which took place on January 12, 1888. The celebration will take place in Flagler College's main building from 9:30AM until 4:00PM on the very date in 2013. The celebration will include many "Gilded Age" reenactors (including Mr. Flagler and one of his wives), special tours, and an amazing orchestra. Guests of the event will also be able to view the "Celebrating the Legacy" exhibit featuring artifacts from the original hotel.
