5th Annual St. Augustine Celtic Music and Heritage Festival

The sounds of the ancient Celtic peoples of Scotland and Ireland come alive at Francis Field on Castillo Drive. Celtic clans from around the world show their ancestral pride. Highland games athletes demonstrate their mind-boggling strength. At 10 a.m. on Saturday, the St. Patrick's Day Parade marches through the streets of the Oldest City's Historic District. Vendors offer up Celtic cuisine and hand-made crafts. Scottish and Irish bands playing both traditional tunes and modernized renditions of the ancient Celtic music appear live on stage throughout the two-day festival - including Albannach, Rathkeltair, Searson, and the Dublin City Ramblers -- "Ireland's Number 1 Best Ballad and Folk Group of the Year." This lineup is arguably the best collaboration of Celtic artists assembled in the United States. Festival hours are Friday, 7 - 9 p.m.; Saturday, 11 a.m. - 9 p.m.; Sunday, 11 a.m. - 6 p.m. Tickets are $10 general admission or VIP tickets $55 each. 29 W. St. Augustine Orchestra Winter Concert “What’s In a Name”

The St. Augustine Orchestra, under the direction of William McNeiland, performs at 8 p.m. at the beautiful, historic Lightner Museum. The Gilded Age ambiance of the former Alcazar Hotel comes to life with beautiful orchestral music in the location of what was once the largest indoor swimming pool in the world. St. Patrick’s Day Parade

Marching bands, floats, equestrian teams and more create a green procession through the downtown streets of the Oldest City.
