Take a tour of Flagler College while visiting St Augustine that highlights the architectural heritage of the former Hotel Ponce de Leon. Built by millionaire developer, Henry Flagler, in 1888, the hotel is considered one of the finest examples of Spanish Renaissance architecture and houses the largest collection of in use Louis Comfort Tiffany stained glass windows. Located at 74 King Street, St Augustine, Florida tours depart from the Rotunda at the top of each hour between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Admission is $10.00 for adults, $1.00 for children, and free to St. Johns County Residents

Rangers and Garrison volunteers will demonstrate the weapons and relate the experiences of the colonial Spanish soldier of 1740s St. Augustine. Historic weapons demonstrations will be presented every Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 10:30, 11:30, 1:30, 2:30, & 3:30. Firing times are subject to change depending on weather conditions and staff availability.

Tours begin the day after the lights are turned on in St Augustine – Sunday, November the 18thand resume each evening (including Christmas) from 6-8pm until New Year’s Night. The cost is only 9.00 for adults and 4.00 for children. Tours depart from the Visitor’s Information Center at 10 West Castillo Drive. Free parking and shuttle are available from the following locations.

Winter Wonderland returns to the St. Augustine Amphitheatre for the sixth year in a row, opening on Fri., 11-24-12, thru Sun., 1-6-13. Enjoy ice skating, an ice chute with the dare-devil's start as well as a safer entry point, mini-cars on a challenging race tract, as well as all the other winter experiences (s'mores and more, nightly snow-falls, etc.)

One of the biggest events happening at the end of the year is the Annual British Night Watch Grand Illumination Parade. Always the first weekend of December following the city’s Annual Christmas Parade, British Night Watch is an event that reminds us of the days when the Brits took control of Florida. The event parade is free to the public and all are invited to participate and march behind the Red Coats as they secure St Augustine!
Friday – November the 30th at 7pm - 8:00 PM Concert showcasing traditional recording artists Father, Son and Friends! They travel the country promoting Celtic heritage with humor, stories and music that will have you clapping and singing along.
Saturday – December the 1st at 10:00 AM – British Encampment opens to the public in Francis Field just west of the parking garage. The Colonial Market Square Comes to Life Throughout the Day in Colonial St. Augustine, with entertainers such as Signora Bella, whose shows captivate audiences throughout the country; authentic Sutlers working to help the soldiers spend their pay; Musicians performing on 18th Century instruments; Townsfolk, Soldiers, and Performers mingling with the visitors both as historical personas, and interpreters to answer your questions about this time period in St Augustine.

Come enjoy hors d'ouerves from The Tasting Room, our restaurant partner, as you tour our lovely, romantic queen and king suites. Our doors will be open from 1:00PM until 5:00PM on Sunday, 12-9-12. Tickets are $25 for both days of touring 24 inns with free shuttles offered by Old Town Trolley.

The eighth annual St. Johns County Festival of Trees is on view at the St. Johns County Convention Center at the Renaissance World Golf Village Resort, showcasing trees and wreaths decorated and donated by local businesses, organizations, families and friends from the community. The opening event was held Nov. 30, with Santa and Mrs. Claus and performers from the St. Augustine Ballet in a short performance from “The Nutcracker” by costumed dancers. The opening event also included music, face painting, holiday cookie decorating and more. The event is free and open to the public. Trees will be on view daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. through Dec. 8; and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 9. The public can vote on favorite trees for $1 per vote; and can bid on trees during an ongoing silent auction. Proceeds will benefit local needy families who will receive assistance from the Empty Stocking Fund and United Way. Go to www.WorldGolfHallofFame.org

Just following the kick off day of the Annual Holiday Tour of St Augustine’s Bed and Breakfast Inns on Saturday, December the 8th, the city’s Annual Regatta of Lights takes place just steps away from our front door. Just a short walk up Cuna Street across Avenida Menendez to the historic seawall, watch in amazement as magnificent vessels decked out in Christmas décor and amazing lights go by starting at 6:00 pm. This event reflects the maritime roots of St Augustine and highlights the city’s historical seaborne image and rich nautical heritage.
