El Galeon Tours Open Through July

Tour a full-sized replica of a 17th century Spanish galleon. Docked at the St. Augustine City Marina, the Andalucia is an exact replica of the famous galleons that played such an important role in the creation and maintenance of the Spanish Empire. Built in Spain, it is similar to the galleon that brought Pedro Menendez to Florida where he founded St. Augustine in 1565. The ship is available for tours Monday - Friday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturady & Sunday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Admission is $15 for adult; $8 for youth. Tickets are available at the Colonial Quarter and St. Augustine Pirate & Treasure Museum. 111 Avenida Menendez. 904-824-1606

Monday & Friday Lost Ships Tour at the St. Augustine Lighthouse

Mondays and Fridays

This exclusive, behind-the-scenes tour includes a multi-media presentation with one of the Lighthouse's marine archaeologists. Tour participants visit areas of the Historic Light Station that are off-limits for general admission visitors. Participants will also see recovered artifacts that are undergoing tedious cleaning and stabilization procedures undertaken by conservators. Free time will be available to see museum exhibits in the historic Keeper's House and to also climb the 165' lighthouse. The lighthouse is located at 81 Lighthouse Avenue in St. Augustine. First Wednesdays Lightner Museum Tours

Lightner Museum curator provides an exclusive encounter with some of the museum's eclectic relics. The themed interactive tours are changed monthly and are designed to give participants an opportunity to talk with the curator and to see acquisitions in operation rather than just as static displays. Tours begin at 10 a.m. on the second floor of the museum located at 75 King Street in St. Augustine just walking distance from the Agustin Inn Bed and Breakfast. The tour is included in the regular admission price of $10 adults; active duty military $6; $5 college students and young people ages 12-18; free for under 12. Donations welcomed. Lincolnville Farmer's Market on Sundays

Lincolnville Farmers' Market is a weekly outdoor market nestled in the south end of the historic Lincolnville neighborhood in the Eddie Vickers Park. The Park includes a basketball court, baseball diamond, playground, and a pavilion with tables. Check out the neighboring Community Garden!

Tours of the El Galeon at the St Augustine Municipal Marina

The replica El Galleon ship will be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Marina, 111 Avenida Menendez as part of its Viva 500 Voyage in commemoration of Ponce de Leon's landing and discovery of La Florida 500 years ago. Tickets are $8 for children age 12 and under and $15 for adults.

Kings of the Mic Tour LL Cool J, Ice Cube, Public Enemy & De La Soul

Hip-hop recording artist LL Cool J will perform with DJ Z-Trip at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre as the headliner for the "Kings Of the Mic" Tour. Joining him will be legendary artists Ice Cube, Public Enemy and De La Soul. The St. Augustine Amphitheatre is located at 1340 A1A. Tickets range from $85 - $45. The St. Augustine Mariners Ball

The Pioneer Barn will host a costumed Ball celebrating 450 years of Maritime History in St. Augustine. Held 6-11 p.m. on the magical grounds of Fort Menendez, there will be a scavenger hunt, costume contest (cocktail attire can also be worn) and entertainment provided by "Mid Life Crisis" and the "Bilge Rats". This is a fundraising event to benefit Lighthouse Maritime Camp and the "School of the 16th Century" presented in January by the Historic Florida Militia. Tickets are $40 per person or $70 per couple. A cash bar will be available. The Pioneer Barn at Fort Menendez is located at 259 San Marco Ave., St. Augustine.
