Historic Weapons Demostrations at Castillo De San Marcos

10:30 am - 3:30 pm

Rangers and volunteers demonstrate the weapons and relate the experiences of the colonial Spanish soldier of 1740s St. Augustine.

These demonstrations are weekly on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays on the North-East gun deck. They are at 10:30 AM, 11:30 AM, 1:30 PM, 2:30 PM, 3:30 PM. Firing times are subject to change depending on weather conditions and staff availability.

Normal entrance fees apply. The Castillo de San Marcos is considered to be a "walk-in" park; the entrance fee applies to each individual.

Adults (Age 16 and above) -- $7.00 - valid for 7 consecutive days.
Children (age 15 and under) -- free, but must be accompanied by an adult.

The Golden Access and Age Passports; the Castillo Annual Pass; and the Interagency Access, Annual, Military, and Senior Passes are honored for free admission in accordance with the terms specified on the card.

Fridays, Saturdays, & Sundays Historic Weapons Demonstrations

National Parks Service personnel demonstrate the weapons and relate the experiences of the Colonial Spanish soldier stationed in St. Augustine in 1740's. Demonstration times are 10:30 and 11:30 a.m. and at 1:30, 2:30 and 3:30 p.m. throughout the year. Firing times are subject to change depending on weather conditions and staff availability. The Castillo de San Marcos, the oldest masonry fortification in the U.S., was built by the Spanish in 1672 to help protect their empire in the New World. Admission is $7 for adults. Children 15 and under are free. The Castillo is open 8:45 a.m. - 5:15 p.m. daily. Info: www.nps.gov/casa.

St. Augustine Distillery

The new St. Augustine Distillery opened its doors to the public for the first time this month. The beautiful new distillery is located in the historic power and ice plant built in stages between 1905 and 1927. The distillery will offer free tours and tastings from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Tuesday - Saturday and 11 a.m. - 6 p.m. on Sunday. The grand opening includes the release of the first spirit legally produced in Northeast Florida since prohibition. Mondays & Fridays Lost Ships Tour at the St. Augustine Lighthouse

This exclusive, behind-the-scenes tour includes a multi-media presentation with one of the Lighthouse's marine archaeologists. Tour participants visit areas of the Historic Light Station that are off-limits for general admission visitors. Participants will also see recovered artifacts that are undergoing tedious cleaning and stabilization procedures undertaken by conservators. Free time will be available to see museum exhibits in the historic Keeper's House and to also climb the 165' lighthouse. The lighthouse is located at 81 Lighthouse Avenue in St. Augustine. Wednesday Market at St. Augustine Beach

Macbeth: A Merger of Theatre and Film

For the first time on a Flagler College stage, theatre and film merge in a modern presentation of Shakespeare's Macbeth. More than 30 students, alumni and faculty incorporate film alongside live theatre to create a dramatic and cinematic presentation that features Shakespearean language with elements of Caribbean, Native American and Spanish influences. Saturdays Dark Side of the Zoo

Zip over the zoo at night. Six zip lines and 23 obstacles allows adventure seekers to catch sights from the zoo that can only be detected in the dark. Each participant is given a souvenir headlamp. Second Annual Celebrity Guitar Raffle/Auction

Friends of the St. Augustine Amphitheatre present their free Second Celebrity Guitar Raffle/Auction from 4 - 9 p.m. at the Amphitheatre. Live entertainment begins at 4 p.m. and features popular bands Smokin' Mirrors, Oh No, and the renowned 80's hair metal tribute band Papercutt. Admission is free; food and drink concessions on site. Lucky winners go home with celebrity-signed guitars from Rise Against, Big Time Rush, Justin Moore, Sublime with Rome, Slightly Stoopid, Black Crowes, Passion Pit, OAR and many others. Raffle guitar tickets are available for a minimum suggested donation of $10 each or 3 for $25. Raffle tickets and online bidding available on the website. Uptown Saturday Night
