Monday & Friday Lost Ships Tour at the St. Augustine Lighthouse

This exclusive, behind-the-scenes tour includes a multi-media presentation with one of the Lighthouse's marine archaeologists. Tour participants visit areas of the Historic Light Station that are off-limits for general admission visitors. Participants will also see recovered artifacts that are undergoing tedious cleaning and stabilization procedures undertaken by conservators. Free time will be available to see museum exhibits in the historic Keeper's House and to also climb the 165' lighthouse. The lighthouse is located at 81 Lighthouse Avenue in St. Augustine. First Wednesdays Lightner Museum Tours

Lightner Museum curator provides an exclusive encounter with some of the museum's eclectic relics. The themed interactive tours are changed monthly and are designed to give participants an opportunity to talk with the curator and to see acquisitions in operation rather than just as static displays. Tours begin at 10 a.m. on the second floor of the museum located at 75 King Street in St. Augustine just walking distance from the Agustin Inn Bed and Breakfast. The tour is included in the regular admission price of $10 adults; active duty military $6; $5 college students and young people ages 12-18; free for under 12. Donations welcomed. Picasso: Art and Arena in the Vistor Information Center

Tickets are now on sale inside the VIC at the Old Town Trolley kiosk or at their many ticket outlets throughout downtown St Augustine. Be sure to ask the innkeeper for directions to purchase your tickets. The Agustin Inn Bed and Breakfast is conveniently located just steps away from this amazing exhibit. Don’t miss it!

Tickets are $10 for adults; $8 for seniors; $5 for children ages 7 to 12; $20 for a family of four; and free for children ages 6 and younger, military in uniform, and Flagler College students with identification. Tax will be added to these prices at the time of purchase.

First Annual Paseo Pastel Chalk Art Event

St Augustine Area Regional Council, Inc. presents “Paseo Pastel St Augustine Chalk Art Walk“. It is the first ever actual street painting (or chalking to be more specific) in St Augustine, Florida.

Artists will be invited to chalk and be judged for their talents on the promenade between the Visitor’s Information Center (VIC) and the City Parking Garage on Saturday, March the 23rd from 8:30 am – 4:30 pm and cash prizes will be awarded at 5:30. The art work will be viewable until 4pm on Sunday when all street art will be washed away. The event is completely free to the public and all are invited to come out and view the artist’s finished work.

March 23-24: Spanish Muster and Torch Light Parade

The annual St.Augustine Garrison’s Spanish Colonial Grand Muster (formerly the Spanish Night Watch) historical re-enactment will be held March 23-24 in downtown St. Augustine.

Hosted by the St. Augustine Garrison (www.staugustinegarrison.com), the Grand Muster commemorates the events leading up to the 1740 invasion of Spanish Florida by the British colonies to the north.

From 7:30 to 9 p.m. March 23, the St. Augustine Garrison will offer Torchlight Tours of the Castillo San Marcos, simulating preparations for the night attack on Fort Mose which occurred on June 25-26, 1740.

Old Town Arts and Craft Show in Francis Field

The Old Town Art & Craft Show will return Palm Sunday weekend (March 23-24) to Francis Field in historic downtown St. Augustine, 29 W. Castillo Drive and features close to 100 top-notch artist and craftsman. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 23-24 at Francis Field.
