Faver-Dykes State Park hosts an educational and relaxing hike celebrating Florida's Archeology Month. Park Ranger Chalkley will lead a half-mile informative hike and discuss the way of life of the Timucua, the native flora and fauna seen along the journey and answer any questions about the park.
Participants will meet in the picnic area and should wear hiking shoes and may wish to bring cameras, water, and bug repellant.
The program is included in admission ($5 per vehicle up to 8 people, $4 for single occupancy, or $2 per person on bicycle) and is open to all ages. Reservations are greatly appreciated! Contact Melissa Clauson at 386-446-6783 or email Melissa.Clauson@dep.state.fl.us.
