One of the biggest events happening at the end of the year is the Annual British Night Watch Grand Illumination Parade. Always the first weekend of December following the city’s Annual Christmas Parade, British Night Watch is an event that reminds us of the days when the Brits took control of Florida. The event parade is free to the public and all are invited to participate and march behind the Red Coats as they secure St Augustine!
Friday – November the 30th at 7pm - 8:00 PM Concert showcasing traditional recording artists Father, Son and Friends! They travel the country promoting Celtic heritage with humor, stories and music that will have you clapping and singing along.
Saturday – December the 1st at 10:00 AM – British Encampment opens to the public in Francis Field just west of the parking garage. The Colonial Market Square Comes to Life Throughout the Day in Colonial St. Augustine, with entertainers such as Signora Bella, whose shows captivate audiences throughout the country; authentic Sutlers working to help the soldiers spend their pay; Musicians performing on 18th Century instruments; Townsfolk, Soldiers, and Performers mingling with the visitors both as historical personas, and interpreters to answer your questions about this time period in St Augustine.
