The
Agustin Inn Bed & Breakfast has
the ultimate in hurricane safety and preparedness.
With the
purchase of a backup power generator unit and
enough in-ground fuel to sustain the Inn without
outside power, we will be able to provide lights
and air conditioning
to
all
of our guests for up to three
weeks. The Inn has also added
two oversized ice machines, and two additional
refrigerator/freezers
to stock enough food to offer
breakfast, lunch and
supper to our guests for weeks if necessary.
To help withstand sustained
high winds, the Agustin
Inn was renovated over 18 months to include
the exterior walls of the Inn, which
were removed
and redone with additional L braced 2” x
6” reinforcement and 5/8” plywood
overlapped with the exterior siding.
A
handicapped accessible elevator was
installed, and over 25% of our rooms were retrofitted
to
assist handicapped guests in order to ensure
a pleasant, enjoyable stay regardless of the
conditions.
Our
goal at the Agustin Inn Bed & Breakfast is
to create a stress-free, home atmosphere for
our guests - even
when Mother
Nature decides
to create a little stress
of her own.
